Alissa Valladon is a paralegal with Carlin & Shapiro, P.A. and joined the firm in 2016. A Maine native, Ms. Valladon returned home after twenty years away. She studied English and theater at Duke University in North Carolina and went on to spend ten years in New York City, working mainly in television production. From there, she moved to Paris, France where she taught corporate English and history at the Université Paris-Est Créteil Law School. She is happy to be back in Portland; the slower pace of life is a welcome change. When not working, Ms. Valladon is parenting and trying to, somehow, maintain her French fluency.
