Lynn Townsend is an attorney with Carlin & Shapiro specializing in elder law, estate planning and probate matters. Ms. Townsend began her career as an elder law attorney and also spent many years working in personal injury law. She is an expert in assisting clients with navigating complex legal issues during times of crisis. She graduated from the University of Rochester with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, cum laude, and from The Ohio State University Mortiz College of Law. In addition to her law degree, she also earned a certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution from The Ohio State University Mortiz College of Law. Ms. Townsend is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the Maine Bar Association. She is a published author and has written and spoken at seminars and CLEs on topics of Elder Law, Estate Planning and Probate. Ms. Townsend is a Maine native from Rumford who has settled in southern Maine with her husband and children.
